Overview
You can use this document to learn how to update your existing subscription plan.
Add or remove services / subscriptions
You can use these instructions to learn how to add (upgrade) or remove (downgrade) subscriptions from your account.
When you add or remove a service, every stack will be affected by this action. For example, if you add a WAF service, then every stack in your account will contain the WAF service.
- In the StackPath Control Portal, in the top, right corner, select your username / user icon.
- In the drop-down menu, select Billing.
- Next to Subscriptions, click Manage Subscription.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add or remove a subscription.
- To remove a service, deselect an enabled service.
- Select Next, and then review the changes to your plan.
- Review the information under Remove Services. These services and technical configurations will be deleted permanently.
- Click Confirm Subscription Change.
- A confirmation message will appear at the top of the portal.
- To verify the changes, return and review the Subscriptions table.
- Your account changes will take place immediately.
After you change a plan:
- If you upgraded your account, then your payment method will be charged immediately on a pro-rated basis for the new services / subscriptions.
- If you downgraded your account, then the change will take place immediately and no credit will be issued, regardless of your billing cycle.
Delete a stack
- In the StackPath Control Portal, in the top, right corner, select your username / user icon.
- Click My Stacks.
- Locate the desired stack to delete, and then under Action, click the corresponding ellipses.
- Click Cancel Stack.
- Review the information, and then click Proceed with Stack Cancelation.
- When you delete a stack, services / subscriptions from that stack will continue to run in your other stacks. To remove a service / subscription from your account, see Add or remove services / subscriptions from an existing stack.
Cancel a StackPath account
At a high level, to cancel your account, you must:
- Delete all stacks
- Review the instructions in Delete a stack.
- Remove all subscriptions
- Review the instructions in Add or remove services / subscriptions from an existing stack.
- This step will stop all billing activities on your account. Additionally at this point, you can still return to StackPath and use any service without having to create a new account.
- Contact Support to close your account
- If you want to completely delete your StackPath account, please contact StackPath Support.
- Any cancellations are immediately effective and no credit / refund will be issued, regardless of your billing cycle.
View an invoice
- In the StackPath Control Portal, in the top, right corner, select your username / user icon.
- Click Billing.
- Click Billing History.
- Under Action, click PDF for the desired invoice.
Review the following notes about billing:
- The base amount for a service is billed in advance.
- Any additional consumption over the base amount will be billed afterwards on a monthly basis.
- StackPath services include network and application-layer DDoS attack protection that mitigates most attacks at no additional charge.
- In certain instances, an attack will target assets cached on the StackPath CDN (i.e. images or static assets). If an attack requests those assets and the assets are delivered by the CDN, then the bandwidth used to deliver those assets is counted as bandwidth consumption, which will be reflected on the next invoice.
- If your total bandwidth consumption does not exceed your monthly subscription, then you should not be billed for additional charges.
- If your total bandwidth consumption exceeds your monthly subscription, then the extra bandwidth will be charged at the standard additional bandwidth rate.
