Cyberduck has been certified for use with StackPath Object Storage. To use these products with StackPath, please follow the configuration tips below. Note that a custom StackPath connector is not available in these products so the Amazon S3 connector should be used.
Note: The following example uses the StackPath Object Storage Endpoint URL for us-east. You will need to use the appropriate endpoint URL for your bucket which is relative to the region your bucket was created in.
StackPath Endpoint URL's
Each region has its own endpoint URL that you will need to use in order for Cyberduck to properly connect to your bucket. Please find the list of Endpoint URLs below:
us-east: s3.us-east.stackpathstorage.com or s3.stackpathstorage.com
us-west: s3.us-west.stackpathstorage.com
eu-central-1: s3.eu-central.stackpathstorage.com
To use the Amazon S3 Connector with StackPath Origin Storage:
- Open Cyberduck
- Click Open Connection in the top left
- Fill in the appropriate details for your StackPath Object Storage API Credentials and Bucket region
The example bucket is located in us-east so s3.stackpathstorage.com is the server used in this case. If the bucket were in us-west-1 then s3.us-west.stackpathstorage.com should be used. After entering the server, the Access Key and Secret Key will need to be pasted in.
- That's it! You're now connected to the StackPath Storage Bucket with Cyberduck.
Public vs Private Files
If you notice that your files are marked as PUBLIC by default, be sure to check your Permissions under Cyberduck >> Preferences >> Transfers >> Permissions, to be sure that Group and Others are unchecked to keep those files PRIVATE by default.
