When creating a new monitor, StackPath provides a feature to perform Strict SSL Verification. When enabled, StackPath will check the monitored site's SSL certificate to ensure it hasn't expired or been revoked. If the certificate has expired or been revoked, the resource will be treated as "down" and alerts will be triggered. This is a useful option to enable if you wish to be alerted if your SSL certificate needs renewing.
Enable Strict SSL Verification
- Log into the StackPath Control Portal
- Select Monitoring from the left-hand navigation menu, choose the site you wish to enable the option for, and select the gear icon to edit the monitor
- Scroll down through the Monitor options and select Strict SSL Verification
